“Everything was perfect” – A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans were delighted with Tanguy Ndombele’s competitive debut.
The Frenchman scored a fantastic curling strike to bring his side level in the second half – and Spurs went on to win 3-1.
Ndomele’s goal was the turning point in the game – as up until that point Aston Villa were relatively comfortable.
The ball was laid off by Lucas Moura – and the 22-year-old hit a wonderful first-time shot into the far corner beyond the despairing dive of Tom Heaton.
Ndombele is now Tottenham’s record signing having joined from Lyon for £53.8m in the summer – and he will have to turn in more performances like this if he is going to be considered worth that extraordinary fee.
These Spurs fans were thrilled with what they saw from Ndombele.

Many Tottenham fans were so pleased with Ndombele – that they were lavishing him with praise. This included calling him a goat.
Don’t get complacent. Don’t relax. PL is a long season. Stay solid, stay consistent. Good to see you get off to a strong start.

A few Spurs fans, however, were quick to point out that Ndombele only played well in the second half – and that there is improvement needed for Spurs’ trip to Manchester City.
