“A snip at £3m” – A lot of West Brom fans are very happy with the news that they are close to signing Romaine Sawyers from Brentford.
John Percy, of the Daily Telegraph, has revealed that the Baggies are in negotiations to bring the 27-year-old back to the Hawthorns.
Sawyers was one of Brentford’s standout players last year, and there are said to be a few clubs interested in signing him – so if the Baggies could pull it off, it would be a coup.
The former Walsall man is going into the last year of his contract at Griffin Park, and the Bees have signed Mathias Jensen – so they may be looking to move him on for a fee, rather than lose him for nothing next year.
If West Brom do sign him, he could add some class and creativity to their midfield.
This potential signing has got a lot of West Brom fans very excited.

#wba are hoping to make Brentford midfielder Romaine Sawyers their next signing. Would cost around £3m. A deal could progress in the next few days but other clubs are interested

Be a good signing, just need Sawyers, Furlong, Holgate, Pereira, Konate and we’ll be looking better than last season
