West Ham’s new man Pablo Fornals left many fans in east London thinking about Europe following his stunning performance in Spain’s Under-21 thrashing of France – the 23-year-old’s assist has been doing the rounds on social media this morning, merely capping off his star showing.
Fornals ran the game with his silky touches and quality on the ball which duly earned him the Man of the Match award. The Spanish playmaker has contributed greatly to Spain reaching the Under-21 European Championship final and his performance last night is just a glimpse into what Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham will be getting next season.
The 23-year-old joined The Hammers just over a week ago for a fee of £24-million which has been labelled as a ‘bargain’ by most supporters. Fornals has made two appearances for the senior side already in his career but Spain have utilised him in this summer’s U21 European Championship to great effect – in four games he has bagged two goals and an assist, averaging a rating of 7.93 per game.
There will be plenty of fans from the London Stadium tuning into the final this weekend to see their man in action again before the Premier League kicks off in a few months time.

The FA might as well give us the premier league right now because I can't see any team stopping Pablo Formals & co in this upcoming season especially if we sign Maxi Gomez & Solomon Rondon trust me on this alright! Unbelievable assist by Pablo Formals wow!

Fornals one of the players of the tournament. His assist tonight was world class. £24m fee that West Ham had to pay – has looked like he's worth double that. A steal. #EUROU21 https://t.co/N1hL723G6q
