Having only been signed from Ligue 1 Toulouse on Friday it looks as if £7 million central defender Christopher Julien is a hit with Celtic fans already.

The big centre half was Neil Lennon’s first signing of the summer and has got fans dreaming of a ninth league title in a row already. Christopher Julien arrives at Celtic Park in what could be a busy summer for the Bhoys in Green but it looks as if the supporters are happy with the first bit of business done by the club in this already tumultuous window.

Lennon’s men have had a peculiar transfer window thus far after the signings of Julien and Bolton youngster Luca Connell but missed out on £3 million rated David Turnbull after his Celtic medical revealed a knee issue that needed surgery and would require six months out of the game to recover. Julien could be just what the club needs having lost Dedryck Boyata to Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin for nothing and comparisons to former Celtic star Virgil van Dijk are already being drawn.

These Celtic fans are delighted that their new signing has got the feel of the club already and hope it’s just the start of the love story between themselves and the former French U20 player.
