“Time to shine Muto” – Many Newcastle fans are buzzing with Yoshinori Muto after he scored in the Toon’s 1-0 win over West Ham in the Premier League Asia Trophy.
Newcastle turned in a much better performance from their 4-0 trouncing by Wolverhampton Wanderers and deservedly sealed third place.
It was, however, the performance of the Japanese international that stood out – partnered up front with Elias Sorensen his movement caused the Hammers’ defence all sorts of problems until he was taken off with just over ten minutes to go.
His goal came from a lovely move involving Jonjo Shelvey, Isaac Hayden, Muto himself and Jamie Sterry – with the latter supplying a beautiful ball for the 27-year-old to calmly finish off.
This performance has got a lot of Newcastle fans excited by what Muto could do this season.
