“Shocking that’s the main headline” – A lot of Rangers fans are unhappy with the Daily Record for making them the headline news on Monday.
Rangers beat Kilmarnock 2-1 in their opening game of the SPFL – and the Daily Record focused on the over-exuberant celebrations of the Gers fans.
Steven Gerrard’s side scored a stoppage-time goal to seal the win – and a lot of Rangers fans went crazy.
There was a pitch invasion – and the disabled shelter at Killie was destroyed in the carnage.
The Daily Record have made it out like this was a malicious act by some Rangers fans – when it wasn’t but it was irresponsible of those involved.
These Rangers fans are upset at the Daily Record for portraying a negative image of them.
See the best of the reaction below.

Shocking that’s the main headline. When there was two mass shootings in the US. The Rangers take centre stage as always. The obsessed at work.

Many Gers fans do not understand why the Daily Record have chosen them to be on the front page – when there were a lot of shocking events that took place on the 4th of August.
Imagine the daily record on scotland giving away a free copy of pitch invaders to every football fan while at the same time compaining about the rangers pitch invation ?

Others, meanwhile, point out that the paper is giving away a magazine called “Pitch Invader” – suggesting there is some contradiction in the paper’s message.
