Marian Shved and Jack Hendry have both been ruled out of tonight’s Europa League qualifier with FK Sarajevo and these Celtic supporters are far from surprised.
The pair haven’t flown out to Bosnia in what was already looking like a paper-thin Celtic squad and the Parkhead faithful have seen it all before with injuries in the build-up to crucial games. Hendry wouldn’t have expected to start but given the lack of defenders at the club would’ve been expected to play a role on the bench and new signing Shved had been expected to play some part in the game after doing well in pre-season for Neil Lennon’s men.
????️ NL: "@Jack_Hendry2 and Marian Shved didn't travel due to picking up knocks in training yesterday."

Both Shved and Hendry couldn’t be classed as vital parts to this Celtic side yet but given the lack of bodies at the club and even fewer available for tonight’s game Lennon would’ve liked to be able to call upon the duo in Bosnia. With Olivier Ntcham, Kieran Tierney and Vakoun Bayo already out it is starting to look like we might see some youngsters fill up the bench for Lennon tonight in a game where he would’ve liked to have been able to call upon his more senior players.
These Celtic fans aren’t shocked to see players pulling out hours before a big game and feel they’ve seen it all before.
Typical.
