Fulham taught Millwall a footballing lesson on Wednesday evening as they completely dismantled them in a 4-0 drubbing.
The London outfit have now won three on the bounce, but this emphatic victory was undoubtedly their best performance of the season.
In fact, it’s one of the best performances the Championship has ever seen as Scott Parker’s side recorded the highest possession percentage of any second-tier side since records began.
It wasn’t only the spectators who were blown away by this statistic, players who were involved in the game couldn’t believe that their performance was that good.
Whites captain Tom Cairney took to Instagram to share his feelings on the performance.
The midfielder captioned the photo simply saying ‘Lol’ while posting a mind-blown emoji.
Cairney shouldn’t be shocked by this statistic, he played a key part in Fulham’s dominance as he had a pass accuracy of 98.2 per cent.
Fulham’s talisman also crafted two assists for his teammates as the Cottagers moved up to third in the Championship.
