Sheffield United have signed seven players in this transfer window – as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.

Chris Wilder has managed to bring in Phil Jagielka, Lys Mousset, Luke Freeman, Callum Robinson, Ravel Morrison, Ben Osborn and, perhaps the most important signing of them all, Dean Henderson.

The 22-year-old will spend another season at Bramall Lane – after what was a stellar year last season for the young goalkeeper.

Henderson has signed a new deal with the Red Devils and will now get his first taste of Premier League football.

Last year Henderson only conceded 41 goals and kept a very impressive 21 clean sheets, he impressed with his reflexes but also with the domination of his box.

The Blades defence should, therefore, feel a lot more confident this season knowing they have Henderson behind them.

The 22-year-old also heavily invested himself into the club and was often one of the more passionate players on the pitch – which a lot of Blades fans loved.

If Henderson can impress this season, and perhaps play a role in keeping Sheffield United in the Premier League, then he can start to think about Manchester United’s number one spot and also probably England’s.

Jordan Pickford, the current England number one, did not have the best season last year – making four errors leading to goals and conceding 46 goals.

If he were to have another below-par season and Henderson was to impress, then by the European Championships England could have a new goalkeeper.

Sheffield United are expected to struggle this year – with some pundits saying they will be worse than Huddersfield.

However, if Henderson can perform, then not only will he improve his career prospects but also he could be the difference between the Blades staying up or going back into the Championship.
