“Murty and Lovenkrands out” – A lot of Gers fans are annoyed that their youth team were beaten 2-0 by Partick Thistle in the opening game of the Glasgow Cup.
Graeme Murty’s side included Brandon Barker, Jake Hastie, and Matt Polster – who have all had first-team experience.
Rangers dominated the game, but they could not find a way past Jamie Sneddon in Thistle’s goal.
Chances came and went for Murty’s side, and with just five minutes to go, they were punished – as a Lewis Mansell’s shot took a deflection and nestled into the net.
Thistle, though, weren’t done and they doubled their lead two minutes later through Alex Jones.
A disappointing evening for the Gers’ youth side and these Rangers fans are gutted about the result.

Some Rangers supporters are furious that a team as strong as that lost and they want Murty to be sacked because of it.
