“We love VAR” – A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans are reflecting on their 2-2 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side had VAR to thank as Gabriel Jesus saw a last-minute winner chalked off for handball by Aymeric Laporte.
This is now the second time in the space of a couple of months where Manchester City have had a late winner against Spurs ruled out by VAR.
Many Tottenham fans are split on the match and Spurs’ performance.
Some believe that they were lucky to get anything from the game and City were the better team by miles. While others are more focused on the result and a point at the Etihad for any side is a good point.

These Tottenham fans are just loving VAR – and they are enjoying the fact it denied City a goal again.
We could win something If we actually learned how to defend

We need everyone back ASAP what I’ve watched yesterday is not alined with Pochs ambitions at all, I get it it’s city but we looked like relegation candidates in there..,sort it out

Lets be honest City had 30 shots on goal we had 3. Even without Lloris amazing saves if City could finish we’d have lost by at least 10. We’re just Lucky.

if it was a boxing match it would have been stopped by half time, they were better than us in every department, I really can’t work out why we got two midfielders when we need defenders and someone to give Kane something to worry about. Our defence is slow, and light weight!

Many other Spurs fans were annoyed at how comprehensively outplayed they were by Pep Guardiola’s side.
Very happy with the result COYS⚽️????#itshappenedagain #VARmyLord

Well done, lads! A precious point that very few teams will bring home.

Others though recognise that a draw away at Manchester City is a good result – and they can be proud of their team.
