“Agent Bazza,” “Cheers Barry” – A lot of Leeds United fans are thrilled with Barry Douglas as it was revealed he played a key role in convincing Helder Costa to sign for Leeds.
Leeds have sealed a potential coup by signing Costa on a season-long loan deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers – which will then be made permanent next summer.
The 25-year-old lit up the Championship for Wolves scoring 15 and setting up a further 14 – in two seasons for the Black Country side.
The former Benfica man started last season in the Wolves lineup and made 25 appearances but when Nuno Espirito Santo changed to a 3-5-2 Costa was dropped for Leander Dendoncker.
This has led to Costa looking for a move away and Douglas has convinced Costa to move to Elland Road – to try and get Leeds back to the Premier League.
A lot of Leeds fans are therefore very thankful for Douglas and the role he has played in convincing Costa to join him.
