“Looks lost … come home Pontus” – These Leeds United fans are distraught at the loss of cult hero Pontus Jansson who moved to Brentford on Monday.
Leeds released a short statement stating Jansson has moved to West-London for an undisclosed fee and has signed a three-year deal with the Bees.
The move has left a lot of Leeds fans wondering what is going on at their club and many of them are gutted that the Swedish international, who made 120 appearances for the club, has been allowed to leave.
The 28-year-old became a hero for a lot of Leeds fans because he genuinely invested himself in the club and the city, but it seems he didn’t see eye-to-eye with those at the top of the club and they have quickly moved him on – to a team that some consider as a promotion rival.
In the meantime, though, these Leeds fans are gutted over the loss of Jansson.

Worst decision you’ve made in recent years @andrearadri , fans favourite! There best be a massive replacement coming in, PR disaster #lufc

@PJansson5 is the closest thing we’ve had to a cult hero in recent years. He understood what it meant to be Leeds, and he’s played a big part in helping fans fall in love with the club again. He’s been great for us, and it’s a shame to see things end like this. Good luck to him.

Embarrassing joke of a decision by this corrupt owner and dictatorial coach #lufc

Another pathetic and shameful deal done by the club. The best player this club has had since he’s signed, he got what it meant to be Leeds, wanted to win with Leeds, gave us so great moments and we’ve gone and thrown him out for a disgracefully low fee. Shameful from Radz!
