Liverpool fans have taken to social media to express their delight with the ambition shown by Dutch centre half Virgil van Dijk.
Having won a spectacular European double with the Reds, the 28-year-old produced immaculate performances which saw him pick up the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year and the PFA Player of the Year awards respectively.
During an interview with the club’s official website, van Dijk announced the unthinkable and is determined that he can improve his game further.
“The only thing I want to do is focus and get better.” ????

The head attached to the shoulders of the Dutchman shows that success on the pitch does not affect his willingness and resolve to progress as a player. The interview had unsurprisingly excited a lot of Liverpool fans.
One fan reacted by wondering how van Dijk could improve as a player and sarcastically mentioned that learning how to fly as an alternative.
The comments kept coming, as another devotee to van Dijk simply nicknamed him as “the rock“, while an additional remark from a fan said that he has an “elite mentality“.
