Arsenal have been linked with Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha in recent days with Palace placing a £100m price tag on the Ivorian to attempt to stop any interest in their star man. The stipulation for the rumoured transfer is that due to their restricted budget, Arsenal would have to sell players to fund the move, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being the man rumoured to make way for Zaha. This had shocked many Arsenal fans who do not believe Zaha is worth £100 million given that Golden Boot winner Aubameyang cost the Gunners £60m when he signed at The Emirates.

They can’t possibly believe they’ll get that

That’s ridiculous! we signed @Aubameyang7 for only £57.38 million midway through a season where the previous year he scored 31 goals in 32 league matches, @wilfriedzaha only scored 10 goals in 34 league matches last season so how does he warrant £100 million?

If he’s worth 100, then Laca is worth double #FACTS

The price tag put on the Ivorian is enough to scare most teams away and rightly so, but several Arsenal fans were quick to claim that the £100m that Zaha would cost, could potentially cover all of the club’s other transfer targets for the summer. One Arsenal fan also recalled the time the club reportedly bid £92m for French winger Thomas Lemar in the past, leaving questions as to why the transfer budget is so small.
