Whilst Aston Villa’s summer transfer business saw 13 news players arrive at the club in a £130m+ spending spree, some of the club’s fans are backing a player who played a crucial role in their promotion-winning campaign to deliver against West Ham on Monday night.

Anwar El Ghazi, 24, arrived at the club on loan from Lille during the 2018/19 campaign, but a series of stellar performances including a memorable goal in the play-off final against Derby County saw the West Midlands side trigger a permanent signing clause in the Dutchman’s deal.

The forward started Villa’s first two Premier League games, but was demoted to the bench for the game against Everton; a fixture where he would go on to score the club’s second in an impressive 2-0 victory.

There can be doubting El Ghazi’s quality as an impactful forward, and ahead of Monday’s clash with West Ham, some Villa fans are showing their appreciation for the 24-year-old.

Check out some of the best reactions to El Ghazi’s latest social media post below.
