West Brom’s former England international Kieran Gibbs has attracted a lot of interest this summer as he endured the first full season of his career in the Championship. Both Newcastle United and Turkish giants Fenerbahce had been linked with moves to the 29-year-old this summer.
A tweet from the club’s social media department has seemingly put to bed those rumours with a picture of Gibbs wearing the number three shirt surfacing…

Gibbs has played 74 times at the Hawthorns, across both the Premier League and the Championship, since joining the club from Arsenal in a £7m deal.
And it appears many of the Baggies support would like to keep him at the club with one fan asking the club to stop advertising the fact he’s still here incase any club sees and then launches a bid for him. Another supporter told the club to keep it shut as he is flying under the radar.
Others said that they were so glad to keep hold of him and that he’s the best left-back in the league, praising his and the team’s pace. One member of the Hawthorns crowd was surprised that no one had come in for the 29-year-old whilst one fan said if decent money came in then he should be sold.
You can read the best of the reaction below:
Will you please stop advertising the fact we’ve somehow managed to keep him until this point

Let’s hope we can keep him
So wolves sign at 23mill player while we sell our best players and we scrat around for players worth pennies how far behind are we now
With the vile spending over 100mill
Plus no proven goal scorer in the squad worried fan— Kevin Davenport (@KevinDa81804086) July 30, 2019

Might not be too popular but if decent money comes in for Phillips Livermore Gibbs they have to go. We need a totally fresh start #WBA

Still pretty shocked no one has come in for Gibbs or Hegazi. Suppose the injury to Hegazi might help us a little bit. #WBA
