Manager Jurgen Klopp’s attitude towards strengthening his side this summer has left a number of fans at Anfield with mixed opinions after he claimed they wouldn’t have the “biggest transfer window of all time.”
The Reds thumped Tranmere Rovers 6-0 in their opening pre-season friendly last night including a brace and assist from youngster Rhian Brewster in an impressive 45-minute cameo. The performances from the likes of Brewster and his fellow youth prospects as well as returning stars such as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana has left plenty of food for thought in the mind of the lovable German.
Klopp is yet to make a major signing this summer with only 17-year-old Sepp van den Berg joining from PEC Zwolle for £1.3m. Following last night’s match, the boss was asked about potential new signings – he said: “We brought them in already, only you don’t realise it. Rhian Brewster; Oxlade-Chamberlain didn’t play last year; all the young boys today. They are all new players for us, that’s all good. We will see what we do but I don’t think it will be the biggest transfer window of all time.”
His revelation has split the Liverpool fanbase, some suggesting they have faith in Klopp whilst others worry about the lack of squad depth at their disposal going into next season – especially with Manchester City, who beat The Reds to the title by one point, strengthening their side already this summer.

Yea and I know in the middle of the season when it calls for rotation or fresh legs you won’t trust them anymore but then realize the boys on the bench haven’t done well enough to impress you that has been your words every time it goes wrong, same old Kloop always stubborn

You now what im beginning to see what hes saying. Instead of picking up a Fekir/Fernandes for a vast amount of money. Try and fit Ox/Keita into that role

I trust Jurgen but come on I mean if we need to challenge for the league again we have to strength our bench

Fair enough. Not sure why some people are desperate for signings. The current squad are the European champions!

City are won the treble and are still going to add top players to what they already have which in depth is much bigger than ours .

Well, the drama queens fail to understand a simple fact: Klopp is the best talent developer in the World … If he thinks that Brewster can be the next TAA, then spending a fortune on a new forward would be stupid …

John Henry mentioned to the media that Liverpool will be attempting to win the PL this coming season. If Klopp thinks he has the players to do so, then that's good enough for me.

At some point the club needs to realise its investments in the youngsters otherwise they’ll be picked up by other clubs. TAA is a great example and the maturity Brewster and even Harry Wilson show acknowledging. When they play with the seniors their confidence wil Rocket

He never said don’t expect any…
He said we will see what we do but it won’t be the biggest transfer window of all time.
Adding a Pepe and a back up lb will definitely not be the biggest transfer window????????????♂️ and that’s all we need.— Farr (@Farr_16) July 12, 2019
