Aston Villa have confirmed the appointment of former player George Boateng to the youth academy as an U18 assistant coach, and some Villa fans are loving the return of the midfielder who made over 100 appearances for the club.
Boateng was a regular at Villa Park between 1999 and 2000, and the Dutch international is now returning to B6 to build on his previous coaching experiences at an exciting time for the West Midlands club.
Despite a tricky start to life back in the top-flight, with just one win in their first four Premier League fixtures, some of Villa’s fanbase were certainly excited to see the return of Boateng to the club. Check out some of the best reactions below.

Was so underrated, was gutted when he left. Great character and joker inside the dressing room. The young boys will love working with him and of course Mark Delaney who’s already there.

What a player, I would have jumped at the chance to have him back at Boro as a part of our coaching staff, I wish you all the best, “You are Boateng!”
