Liverpool supporters have been revelling in the success of their Brazilian maestro Roberto Firmino as he scored his 50th goal for the club against Burnley before the international break.

The 27-year-old secured his landmark goal since joining the Reds in the summer of 2015, winning the Champions League and the Super Cup during his time on Merseyside.

Firmino’s role at the Reds has evolved since Brendan Rodgers purchased the Brazil international from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim for £29m. Having started as a left-winger under the Northern Irish manager, Klopp came in and turned him into a false nine with stunning results.

Firmino’s creativity, work rate and multi-functional role have earned him plaudits at Liverpool. They continued as one fan said that he is the “best false nine in the world“, while anotherloves him” and is amazed at the player he has become during his time at Anfield.
