Bayern Munich’s chase of Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi doesn’t look to be wavering any time soon with the club putting in a fifth bid to try and secure the services of the highly-rated youngster. The news has left many supporters at Stamford Bridge becoming quite annoyed with the winger yet to sign a new contract at the club.
Hudson-Odoi is at risk of tarnishing his reputation with the Chelsea fanbase should this saga go on any longer. The Daily Mail report that the Bundesliga giants are preparing to offer a mega £45m as they refuse to give up on finding a replacement for Arjen Robben. The fee is an increase of £10m on what they offered the West London club in January yet it’s thought that new boss Frank Lampard is eager to include the starlet as an integral part of his plans next season.
The 18-year-old only has one year to run on his current contract and would be free to talk to Bayern in January if the situation hasn’t changed by then. Hudson-Odoi only featured 24 times for Chelsea last time averaging 48 minutes per game as he often found himself coming on as a substitute – which may be why the England international is stalling on a new contract.
Though with a new manager at the helm – one that has been proven to trusting young talent, the signing of an extension could just be a formality with the club visiting a number of different countries during this pre-season.
You can read a selection of thoughts from Chelsea fans below:
He knows he will get more time with Frank literally no competition with other wingers, and still is delaying. Its not about play time. He should leave if want to.

I love this kid but it’s becoming rather annoying, if he doesn’t want to sign then Bayern are welcome to take him at the right price

He should leave the club if he doesn’t want to sign, sell him. We will survive.

Even if he becomes a top player at 23 this guy will ask for transfer— Emmy (@EmekaCharlesOk4) July 15, 2019
I’m losing patience with CHO, the club have shown commitment and the manager has given assurances. I’m starting to doubt if he wants to play for Chelsea. Please @AlexGoldberg_ @SiPhillipsSport tell us something we don’t know. Fans losing love for CHO

CHO is fairly average anyway. When he played in the PL he was nothing special. Easily replaceable. Only rated so highly because he's from the academy.

If Hudson-Odoi leaves for Bayern then he’s a snake. This club has done everything for him which is unheard of for an 18 year old.
