Ryan Jack has been called up to the recent Scotland squad as Steve Clarke’s men prepare for matches against Russia and Belgium, respectively. The double-header may prove crucial as Scotland look to qualify for Euro 2020.
Jack has been in fine form in his eight appearances for Rangers this season, scoring one goal and that’s led to Clarke calling him into a squad that is stacked with quality in the midfield area. Jack already has two caps and his last came against Belgium in a 4-0 defeat where he played 37 minutes.
However, his call-up has been met with a mixed response from the Rangers fans on Twitter. Some are delighted that he’s getting the recognition they feel he deserves and others are hoping he pulls out and refuses to play for the national team. This comes as Jack himself and Lee Wallace before him have been booed from the Tartan Army while being Rangers players on Scotland duty.

Most fans won’t agree but a marker of us truely being back as the top team in the country we will end up having more players in the Scotland squad. It’s inevitable. Well done Ryan, you deserve it.
