Arsenal are set to be stuck with Mesut Ozil for yet another season after it was revealed the German flop attracted no viable suitors over the summer. Ozil is deemed as an ideal candidate for departure as manager Unai Emery tries to increase his £45-million budget and wage bill – the reported £350k-a-week that Ozil is earning could help pay for a handful of players.
Emery is desperate to strengthen his side after they failed to qualify for the Champions League for a third consecutive season. Arsenal finished fifth in the Premier League and were embarrassingly thrashed in the Europa League final 4-1 by London rivals Chelsea. Ozil’s form over this season, just six goals and three assists, has led to no formal offers coming in for the ex-German international.
The 30-year-old has been part of the setup at the Emirates Stadium since 2013 after joining from Real Madrid for a fee believed to be around £42.5-million. Ozil also features heavily in Arsenal’s new kit announcement video which could signal further signs that the attacking midfielder is set to remain at the club.
Ozil still has two years to run on his current deal despite the uncertainty surrounding his future in North London, it looks likely that he will remain a Gunner with his huge wages seemingly putting off any club from wanting the playmaker.

That’s the disaster Arsene caused. Just like parasite, collecting pay without doing the work.

Hes a part of the infection that plagues the club.

The minute Wenger and Gazidis handed him 350k a week was the time the club stopped getting ”formal approaches”

I've never hated an arsenal player more than him, and we've had almunia, squallaci, andre Santos and silvestre

Pretty obvious from the start that him, Mkhi and Mustafi are going to be near on impossible to move on, unfortunately.
