The Evening Standard are reporting that Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hold talks with wantaway star Paul Pogba to discuss his future at the club with Spurs playmaker Christian Eriksen a likely target should the Frenchman be sold this summer – leaving many United fans hoping it happens.

Both players have been subject of Real Madrid interest during the summer and both have wished for a new challenge publicly in interviews. Pogba admitted he believes “it could be a good time for a new challenge” during a commercial event in Tokyo last month whilst Eriksen has said similar leading to Daniel Levy trying to offer the Dane to Madrid over the weekend.

Eriksen has made 277 appearances in North London, scoring 66 goals and assisting 86 which is a phenomenal return for a midfielder. He could command a fee of over £80m if reports are to be believed which would land Tottenham some profit after signing him from Ajax for just £11.5m.

The move would seem to certainly please United supporters who want rid of Pogba after recent controversies at the end of the season in favour of proven Premier League talent.
