“Nice one skipper” – A lot of Newcastle fans have reacted to Jamaal Lascelles’ latest Twitter post – in which he posted a picture of him scoring a header against Hibernian.

Newcastle fell behind to a Steve Mallan goal but responded well through Joelinton and Sean Longstaff – before the skipper connected with Rolando Aarons’ cross to put the result beyond any doubt.

This was the Newcastle captain’s first goal since he scored against Burnley in January 2018.

Lascelles has always spoken well and is a real leader both on the pitch and off it.

Rafael Benitez saw him as his lieutenant – and Steve Bruce will keep the 25-year-old as captain.

Since Bruce was appointed, Lascelles has had nothing but good words to say about the 58-year-old – and he is trying his best to get a lot of Newcastle fans to back the new manager.

For now, though, these Newcastle fans are just pleased to see Lascelles performing well.

See the best of the reaction below.
