“Most underrated City player ever,” “The man was immense” – A lot of Manchester City fans are remembering, City legend Yaya Toure.

2nd of July 2010 marks the day Manchester City made one of their most important signings in their ascendancy to the top of the Premier League; it was the day they signed Yaya Toure.

The Ivory Coast international arrived from Barcelona for a fee of £25m, and he scored the crucial winner in the FA Cup Final, that season, to win the first piece of silverware for the club – under their new ownership.

He then played a vital role in their first Premier League title win the following season scoring six and setting up a further six.

The peak of his time at City, however, was the 2013/14 season as he almost single-handedly drove Manchester City onto their second Premier League title.

In that season he scored a staggering 20 goals and was named in the PFA Team of the Year, narrowly missing out on the Player of the Year to Luis Suarez.

Overall, the now 36-year-old made 316 appearances for City in eight years; he will go down in City folklore as a legend.

Several City fans have been reminiscing over the powerful Ivorian.

See the best of their reactions below.
