Liverpool fans are a global phenomena in their own right, and are always quick to react to any news broken on the social media website Twitter.
This time it’s in response to a tweet which broke down Liverpool’s transfer policy over the summer and how much they have received in terms of outgoing transfers.
Liverpool did not spending any substantial amount of money on transfers, despite winning the UEFA Champions League last season and finishing 2nd in the Premier League on 97 points. Either Jurgen Klopp felt very comfortable with the squad that he currently has, or FSG did not back the manager in the summer.
Liverpool have potentially banked £53.2m from sales and loans this summer: Ings 20, Mignolet 8, Kent 7.5, Camacho 7, Ejaria 3.5, Duncan 1.8, Johnston 300k. (Loans) Wilson 2.5, Grujic 2, Awonyi 600k

Some Liverpool fans have responded on Twitter in reference to a retweet earlier in the year that Joyce retweeted, a video which had Liverpool shareholder Lebron James who wore a Liverpool cap throughout, which was a promotion for sports equipment supplier Nike. Kylian Mbappe was also in the video and Reds’ fans believed it linked towards a possible deal being negotiated for the Paris Saint Germain forward in 2020, and that the summer sales by Liverpool contributed to that.
