Wolves have already announced the permanent signings of both Raul Jimenez and Leander Dendoncker and have since added striker Patrick Cutrone from AC Milan, Jesus Vallejo on loan from Real Madrid as well as a trio of young Portuguese talent.
But many fans still appear to be hungry for one or two more additions before the transfer window comes to a close on Thursday evening and there’s one player that is being frequently named – Southampton’s dynamic central midfielder Mario Lemina.
The Daily Mail have reported that the West Midlands club have enquired about the availability of Lemina with the Saints wanting to recoup at least the £18.1m they paid for him back in 2017.
The 25-year-old played only 21 Premier League matches on the South Coast last term, scoring and assisting just one goal in that time.
A number of fans took to Twitter to share their desire to see the Gabon international move to the West Midlands this week.
When asked on who they expect to sign before deadline day, the overriding reply was Lemina with one fan describing him as a ‘baller’ on the ball whilst another said he expects the midfielder to be the last one in before the window shuts on Thursday.
Here’s the best of the reaction:
Only guess work but I think Lemina might be the last one in before the window closes #wwfc

That guy doesn’t know what he’s on about. It’ll be lemina or Kessie for us. Lemina looks a baller on the ball Southampton fans not happy with his attitude and it’s unlike us to sign someone like that
