Steven Gerrard’s Rangers trounced Karl Robinson’s Oxford 5-0 yesterday with impressive displays all across the Ibrox pitch and these Rangers fans are loving it.

Goals from Daniel Candeias, Greg Stewart, Lewis Mayo, Sheyi Ojo and Jermain Defoe gave the hosts the emphatic victory over the English League One side as they played their last game before facing St. Joseph’s tomorrow. Rangers travel to Gibraltar for the first leg of the Europa League first qualifying round tomorrow and yesterday’s performance has got Rangers supporters excited ahead of the European game.

Rangers will head to Gibraltar with a squad coming off the back of an impressive pre-season and will be looking to replicate last season’s feat of reaching the group stage of the Europa League. Gerrard has added seven new players- with all of them playing a part in yesterday’s demolition of Oxford– with the aim of improving on last season’s second-place league finish and domestic cup exits to Aberdeen. If yesterday’s performance was anything to go by then Gerrard is definitely on the right tracks to make his second season even better than his first at Ibrox.

These Rangers supporters will be hoping that yesterday’s victory will be a sign of things to come as Gerrard aims to win the club their 55th league title.
