Huddersfield defender Tommy Smith has been the latest linked to solving Celtic’s problem right-back position and it’s safe to say the supporters are far from enamoured with the 27-year-old.

Celtic have seen Mikael Lustig, Cristian Gamboa and Jeremy Toljan depart the club this summer with nobody coming in to replace them at Parkhead thus far and Smith has been the latest- following Jack Stacey– to be rumoured to joining the treble treble winners in this window. Smith was a part of the Huddersfield side that limped to relegation from the Premier League last season and these Celtic fans aren’t pleased that he’s been linked to the club.

With youngster Anthony Ralston the only first-team orthodox right-back at the club it is clear that Neil Lennon will look to strengthen this area of the park as he chases a ninth Premiership title in a row, a fourth consecutive treble and a good European run like he enjoyed during his first spell in charge of The Bhoys in Green. Lennon will look to add to signings Christopher Julien, Luca Connell and Bali Mbombo this summer with many expecting at least one right-back to join the trio but these Celtic fans are certain they don’t want it to be Smith.
