Bali Mbombo doesn’t appear to be the only left-back Celtic will sign in this window but that probably is as clear a sign as any that Kieran Tierney is leaving Celtic Park, with Napoli and Arsenal interested in the services of the 22-year-old.
Nice’s Romain Perraud has been linked to being Celtic’s latest signing- and the club will have to act fast if they’re going to get their second left-back in as many days given the deadline to register players for the first round of Champions League qualifiers passes at 11 pm tonight. Perraud would be Celtic’s fourth deal of the summer- having already secured the signings of Christopher Julien, Luca Connell and Mbombo– but it might just pave the way for a big departure too.
Celtic are still trying hard to sign LB Romain Perraud, but according to Nice Matin today, OGC Nice have rejected two offers from the club. The player wants to join Celtic.

A move for Perraud would likely bring an end to Tierney’s Parkhead career and Celtic and Arsenal fans know this. Perraud would be a welcome addition to a Celtic defence in much need of reinforcements after key departures and with a lack of cover already at the club.
While happy about the signing of Mbombo and potential deal for Perraud many Celtic fans are saddened to realise that it means their fan-favourite ‘KT’ looks all but away from the club this summer.
From the footage I’ve seen of both, he actually impressed me more. Would suggest Tierney is definitely off, or this is our new thing – stockpiling left backs.

As long as we don’t see Miller, Hayes or McGregor play left back this season. We need 2 right backs, Ralston simply isn’t good enough, even for back up.
