Leeds United fans on Twitter are rather concerned after one of their key issues from last season is already showing up once again just two games into the new campaign.
Of course, we are talking about the Whites’ conversion rate.
Lasts season Marcelo Bielsa’s side had the worst conversion rate in the division, and their failure to take their chances cost them an automatic promotion spot.
Once again this season we’re seeing a worrying trend emerge.
@LUFCDATA on Twitter has been collating stats, facts and figures about United for years, and he provided a statistical update for supporters after their game against Nottingham Forest.
The stats show that Leeds are dominant in a number of categories as they’ve had the most shots, made the most passes and created the most chances out of any team in the division.
Unfortunately, they’re already out of the top 10 in terms of conversion rate as their number sits at just 17%.
Understandably, this news worried a number of supporters.
Conversion rate downfall again.

Really hope this isn’t a repeat of last season, already out of the top 10 for conversion rate yet 1st for chances created ????

Conversion rate is killing us

Other sections of the fanbase weren’t happy at the lack of improvement shown by the stats since the end of last season.
We have improved nothing… it will be our Achilles heal once again… couple that with our inability to successfully defend corners/set pieces and we need to score 2-3 to win a game as clean sheets are unlikely. Argh ????

Can we not looks like a repeat of last season

Some supporters haven’t given up hope yet though. Eddie Nketiah is still yet to make his debut for the Elland Road outfit, and a number of fans are hoping that he will solve their problems.
Same issue as last season hopefully Eddie is the answer!

That conversion rate will be over 50% when Eddie Nketiah is up top
