Leeds United fans on Twitter aren’t happy with the reports that the club may go after Eddie Nketiah rather than Ryan Kent.
Fans had previously been complaining that Kent wasn’t what they needed as he isn’t a striker.
Somehow fans have still found a way to moan despite the fact they’re being linked with a promising forward from Arsenal.
The 20-year-old scored nine goals in ten games in Premier League 2 last season, before he was given a handful of opportunities in the first-team.
He managed to open his Premier League account with a goal on the final day of last season in the Gunners’ win against Burnley.
The chief complaint from several fans is that this will only be a loan deal. With Leeds looking set to lose Kemar Roofe to Anderlecht for £7m fans were hoping that the windfall from that transfer would be reinvested, but a loan deal for Nketiah would cost just a fraction of that price.
Some fans took this as an opportunity to slam the owners stating that they’re unwilling to spend money on any permanent signings.
See this is why people are turning on the owner. Sell Roofe for £7m and loan a replacement because Kent is too much. We won’t own any players soon… Loan FC #lufc

Just no logic at #lufc Roofe £7million Maupay £20million, ridiculous, @andrearadri is selling Leeds for sure, hence trying to get as much money out of the club he can, very disappointed such a sell out.

How is a loan a replacement for a permanent player, out squad value just keeps diminishing

Other fans weren’t happy with the move due to the fact the youngster is unproven at senior level.
Indeed, he has only appeared in five first-team league matches with a cumulative total of 62 minutes played.
We need a proven goal scorer at championship level

Looks like a cheap option no disrespect to the arsenal lad but we need proven strikers to get out of the league

Nope no thanks proven players please to replace roofe

One supporter stated that bringing in the 20-year-old would be unnecessary as Leeds already have more talented young strikers amongst their ranks, namely Kun Temenuzhkov and Ryan Edmondson.
Why have we got Kun and Edmondson if we’re signing some 20 year old from another club?
