Pessimism has been the order of the day around the Leeds fanbase recently.
Ever since their early flurry of signings, United supporters have been complaining about the lack of movement in the transfer window.
Indeed, Leeds haven’t unveiled a new player for almost a month now, and fans feel as if they still need to plug some gaps in their squad.
Today though, the Yorkshire club did announce something, they posted an update on Twitter stating that 17-year-old Connor Leak-Blunt has signed his first professional deal with the club.
While there were some well-wishers in the replies, the majority of the responses were negative as supporters really want to see some activity surrounding the first team.
One fan sarcastically replied, stating that he was desperately waiting for that news, while others simply asked if he could play as a centre-back.
Indeed, Leeds are quite short at the back as the sales of Aapo Halme and Pontus Jansson have left them with just three senior centre-halves.
Here’s what the Elland Road faithful have been saying on Twitter…
Stop giving deals to youth players and buy quality first team players that way then leeds United might get promoted not relegation like the owner wants as the wage bill will lower with youth n they save money
