Leeds United fans on Twitter have backed Mateusz Bogusz to be the club’s Young Player of the Season.
Last term the award was won by Jack Clarke after his impressive debut campaign.
Clarke’s performances earned him a £10m move to Tottenham Hotspur, but he immediately returned to the club on loan.
Fans don’t expect Clarke to pick up his second accolade though as they’ve named the Polish teenager as the top contender.
The 17-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for the Whites, but he has impressed a number of supporters during his time with the U23s.
Recent reports have stated that Marcelo Bielsa plans to give him first-team opportunities in the upcoming campaign.
Leeds certainly have a number of talented young players in their squad for this season as the likes of Jack Harrison, Ben White and Jamie Shackleton are all contenders for this award, but the fans have named Bogusz as the pick of the bunch.
Here’s what the Elland Road faithful have been saying on Twitter…
