Leeds United fans on Twitter have once again been ripping into Patrick Bamford just a week before the beginning of the new season.
The former Middlesbrough striker hasn’t been a popular figure amongst the fanbase ever since he joined the Yorkshire club, and with the new season approaching fans couldn’t help but talk about him again.
Marcelo Bielsa will seemingly be forced to start with Bamford up top for the first few games of the season after Kemar Roofe picked up an injury which will see him miss four weeks of action.
The 25-year-old scored just nine goals last season, and he only provided a further two assists for teammates
Although Bamford’s minutes per goal ratio last season wasn’t bad at all as he scored every 161 minutes, fans were consistently frustrated by the attacker.
Perhaps his £10m pricetag hasn’t helped his cause, but a year after his signing fans are still giving him a hard time.
Here’s what the Elland Road faithful have been saying on Twitter…
Please someone enlighten me…what is Bamford, a winger, attacker a charlatan? I think even he is confused. He lacks the passion, drive and ambition to put a full yard in..he is fake, not a Leeds player imo…shout me down as much as you want to…..well done Orta !

He’s exactly what you say, someone who has coasted most of his career ,then when he signs for a REAL football club he’s totally exposed,he should be playing for somebody like reading, never been or will be a Leeds player,I was gutted when we signed him

Unfortunately for him I just don’t think he is ever going to hit the ground running with us. Would happily take £5m for him if someone was willing to pay it.

He’s as light as a feather and his body language is shocking it’s almost like he doesn’t want to score.

He’s far too soft. Doesn’t look like he plays with conviction at all.
