Leeds United fans on Twitter have had differing reactions to the news that Oliver Sarkic has joined Burton Albion on a permanent deal.
The attacker joined Leeds in January 2018 from European giants Benfica, and he was then loaned out to Spanish club Barakaldo CF for the 2018/29 season.
He didn’t show much potential during his loan spell. He scored just once in 12 games in the Spanish third tier last term, and at the age of 22, it seems unlikely that he was ever going to make it at Elland Road.
His scoring record throughout the rest of his career hasn’t been fantastic either. He netted just five goals in 43 appearances for Benfica B.
Despite the lack of promise he has shown throughout his time as a Leeds player, fans still found a way to complain about this sale.
Supporters seem fed up with the continuous stream of footballers departing Elland Road as a number of youth and first-team players have moved on this summer.
Some of the higher-profile names to have left include Pontus Jansson and Mallik Wilks, but United have also seen academy players such as Hugo Diaz leave the club.
By the end of the window you would of sold the flood lights for what not like we will see this money being invested in to the squad we ain’t doing anything this season weaker side then year before wtf is going on

Bet we sell more players this season than we do away kits.

Others have found it tough to care about this news as Sarkic never played a game for the Yorkshire outfit.
One supporter also claimed that people were just looking for any excuse to complain about Andrea Radrizzani.
If they’re not going to make it at the club, we move them on.
That’s how this gig works so let’s cut back on the faux outrage and wish the lad you’ll have never seen kick a ball all the best for the future.

Why are people acting like losing someone from the academy is gonna hurt us, if we lost Edmundson then fair enough, but he’s not even a main player for the U23s. Swear our fans just love to criticise the club and owner as much as possible

Come on then Andy tell us how good this kid is. Surely you’ve followed his career as you seem to think we should have kept him. Come on enlighten us on what a mistake we’ve made letting him go to a big club like Burton Albion?
