Leeds United fans on Twitter have already been naming two players they want to see replace Kemar Roofe after rumours circulated that Anderlecht are interested in the forward.

The Daily Mail report that the Yorkshire club could be in for a £7m windfall if the striker does indeed end up moving to Belgium.

The departure of Roofe would see Leeds lose their top goalscorer from last season, and the attacking threat he needs would need to be adequately replaced.

Phil Hay stated that United will have to bring someone in if the 26-year-old departs, and fans have been quick to recommend two signings.

Some supporters are clamouring for Dwight Gayle to be signed from Newcastle United.

Whenever the 28-year-old has dropped down into the Championship, he has been one of the divisions best players as he has netted 47 goals in his last two campaigns in the second tier.

He spent last season on loan at West Brom where his goals helped fire the Baggies into the playoffs.

The other striker many United fans have been crying out for is Brentford’s Neal Maupay.

The Frenchman netted 25 times in the league last term. He has been linked with moves to Aston Villa and Sheffield United, but with both of those clubs signing new strikers his Premier League aspirations may not be fulfilled this summer.

Unsurprisingly, some fans named both strikers as potential Roofe replacements, with many saying that they would be satisfied if either man signed.
