Leeds United fans on Twitter have already been naming two players they want to see replace Kemar Roofe after rumours circulated that Anderlecht are interested in the forward.
The Daily Mail report that the Yorkshire club could be in for a £7m windfall if the striker does indeed end up moving to Belgium.
The departure of Roofe would see Leeds lose their top goalscorer from last season, and the attacking threat he needs would need to be adequately replaced.
Phil Hay stated that United will have to bring someone in if the 26-year-old departs, and fans have been quick to recommend two signings.
Some supporters are clamouring for Dwight Gayle to be signed from Newcastle United.
Whenever the 28-year-old has dropped down into the Championship, he has been one of the divisions best players as he has netted 47 goals in his last two campaigns in the second tier.
if he’s not gonna re-sign then 7m is a good deal. i’d blow it all on 2 years for Gayle as he would be an upgrade on finishing for us

@andrearadri can you please sign a out and out striker? Has to be a goal machine. Loads to choose from (i.e Gayle,Gayle or Gayle)We never replaced Chris wood. Bamford can’t do it alone and if Roofe goes I fear the worst.@NoelDavidWhelan @apopey @PhilHay_ @GrahamSmyth @LUFC

The other striker many United fans have been crying out for is Brentford’s Neal Maupay.
The Frenchman netted 25 times in the league last term. He has been linked with moves to Aston Villa and Sheffield United, but with both of those clubs signing new strikers his Premier League aspirations may not be fulfilled this summer.

I’m all for Maupay. No way Roofe leaves without a replacement being lined up. Bamford good backup to a serious striker.

Unsurprisingly, some fans named both strikers as potential Roofe replacements, with many saying that they would be satisfied if either man signed.
Kent is a winger. We need a 20 odd goal a season maupay or Gayle simple. Nothing else will cut it. Or we are going into the season weaker in every department

If roofe goes then so be it yes I’d be gutted as he’s integral the we play but if he’s not gonna sign a new deal 7m is a good deal as long as we replace with better , either Gayle or maupay could be the diff in going up or not but we still need a CB & GK too #lufc

Only Maupay or Gayle would be a decent replacement for Roofe otherwise I’d just rather we stuck with Roofe! Yes he’d go for free but we stuck with beckford knowing that and that ended well!! #LUFC
