It’s taken a long time, but fan opinions on Victor Orta may finally be changing after the release of Leeds United’s documentary series on Amazon Prime.

The series shows the journey Leeds United went on throughout Marcelo Bielsa’s first season in charge from the opening day win against Stoke all the way to the playoff heartbreak against Derby.

Fans, players, backroom staff and board members are all interviewed on the show, but it seems that Orta is the one man supporters have taken a liking to.

In these behind the scenes shots the Spaniard showed passion and dedication that has rarely been seen by the public before.

After Leeds’ game against Brentford, he was seen shouting at the referee, he passionately celebrated a goal against QPR and he cried when United failed to capture Daniel James on deadline day.

Previously, supporters have been critical of the director of football, but now that they’ve seen a more human side to him they’ve been heaping praise on him.

One fan said that he has a newfound respect for him, while another simply stated that he loves him.

Other sections of the fanbase were blown away by the amount of passion Orta showed during matches.

Another set of supporters couldn’t help but feel bad for Orta after his attempts to sign Daniel James were squandered by Swansea.
