Leeds United fans on Twitter have been full of praise for Mateusz Klich after a stat highlighting just how good he is was posted on social media.
@LUFCDATA interestingly posted that the Pole has created more chances than any other player in the Championship so far this season.
This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to anyone who has seen Klich play. He’s constantly making things happen, and his nine assists last season show exactly what he is capable of.
He’s well on his way to matching or bettering that number. The midfielder has already crafted one assist this season, and the fact that he’s creating so many chances means that his tally should increase over the next few weeks.
Understandably, a number of supporters were full of praise for the 29-year-old.
A couple of fans listed some of his best attributes, while another claimed that he is a vital player in Bielsa’s system.
Brilliant midfielder. Movement, touch, passing all superb.
Laughable that some people want him dropping— Chris Hall (@Chrislufc87) August 12, 2019
I absolutely love Klich. Runs his nuts off, he’s intelligent, skilful and has great vision. I hope he doesn’t make way from Costa when he inevitably breaks into the starting line up. I thought Harrison did OK against Forest, but still don’t see enough end product

What he does is often unseen.. keeps the ball moving often with one touch. Vital player in this formation

Others stated that he makes the team that much better and that Leeds look nowhere near as good when he isn’t on the pitch.
Luckily he’s rarely off the park as he started every game last season, but in recent weeks he has been subbed off deep into matches.
Great stats these as I always wondered why as soon as he got subbed we always look a worse team!! What would be interesting would be, chances created by opposition with Klich playing and chances created/posession by opposition once klich been subbed??…….

Cos his job is to run so much….same plan as last season and we never look as good once he goes off

Another section of the fanbase were rather blown away by the stat as they thought Klich had started slowly this season.
There you go. Thought he was having a bit of a quiet one to be honest. Shows what I know haha

Interesting…from looking at games I was thinking he wasn’t as effective/influential in the more advanced role, but I guess not ????
