Leeds United fans on Twitter have been full of praise for Ben White after his debut against Bristol City on Saturday.
The young defender looked incredibly composed at the back, and many fans were quick to compliment his composure and confidence.
Indeed, White didn’t shy away from getting involved during his first appearance. He had 78 touches which was the fourth most of any player on the pitch and his pass success rate was also solid at 84.6 per cent.
The fanbase were clearly very impressed by what they saw.
A number of supporters were waxing lyrical about his debut performance.
One fan stated that the defender was going places, while another said that he had an excellent debut.
Agreed!!White is going places very assured performance and it brought the best out of Cooper.
Keeper Kiko scares me! One minute you’re thinking “oh no” next thing he pulls off a great save. Not good for the nerves.— Tony (@TonyLeeds1919) August 4, 2019

Unsurprisingly, one supporter made the comparison between White and Pontus Jansson after the Swedish defender left Elland Road this summer.
They stated that White is the successor to the centre-back throne after Jansson’s transfer.
Sorry …. Pontus who ?? The King is dead long live Ben White ????????

Somehow some supporters found a way to be negative about his debut. Fans expressed their frustrations that White was only on loan from Brighton without an option to buy included in his move.
Just a pity we couldn’t get an option to buy White, can see why though. Excellent debut.

It’s gonna be frustrating that we don’t have an option to buy
