Leeds United fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news that they will be playing Stoke City in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
The Whites progressed into the next round with a 3-0 win against Salford City at the Peninsula Stadium on Tuesday night, while Stoke overcame Wigan Athletic in order to book their spot in round two.
This draw is a bit of a mixed bag. Stoke aren’t an easy draw, but they also aren’t a massive team for fans to get excited about playing.
Leeds have avoided any of the Premier League sides that come into the competition at this stage, which should aid their chances of progressing
It’ll be an all Championship affair later this month, and that has garnered mixed reactions from the fanbase.
Some fans are quite happy with the draw as Leeds proved last season that they’re more than capable of beating Stoke.
Perfect draw if you ask me. Decent opposition at home for our youth and fringe players.

Very winnable tie! #lufc

Others seemingly aren’t too happy with it as it’s a bit of a meaningless game. One fan urged the team to rotate heavily while another claimed that he hopes they lose.
Play the 2nd team again (that is better than the 1st team apart from Cooper) if we go out no embarrassment and carry on with the league!

This is time to make our exit I think. Let us leave the extra games to other championship teams. Imo squads too thin to split attentions

A couple of supporters were so underwhelmed by the draw that they asked for it to be redone so that Leeds’ could face a more interesting opponent.
Draw again please

Other fans just weren’t interested in seeing a fixture between two Championship sides.
Boring

Good it’s at home. But a rubbish tie.
