Leeds United fans on Twitter have been calling for Eddie Nketiah to start against Wigan on Saturday.

Marcelo Bielsa has already revealed that the Whites will field the same side which drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest last week, and even though Nketiah isn’t a part of that lineup that hasn’t stopped some supporters campaigning for him to get a start.

The Arsenal loanee made his United debut earlier this week in a Carabao Cup game against Salford City.

It didn’t take long for him to make his mark for his new team as he netted the opening goal against the Ammies just before half-time.

The Elland Road faithful were clearly very impressed by what they saw from the attacker as they have been campaigning for him to get a start on social media.

Many supporters stated that not only Nketiah should be starting, but they also state that Bielsa should put Helder Costa into the starting lineup as well.

One fan actually had a dig at the Argentine stating that he is frustrating him. Any United supporter criticising Bielsa is a rarity, so it shows how passionate fans are about this issue.

Other members of the fanbase stated that their new signing should be ahead of Patrick Bamford in the pecking order.

One supporter had come to terms with the fact Nketiah won’t be starting this weekend, but he still wants to see him start sooner rather than later.
