A few years ago Joe Hart and Fraser Forster were duking it out for the right to be called England’s number one.
Forster was often Hart’s understudy as he received just six caps.
Hart was the first-choice at both the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 European Championships where Forster was also in the squad.
Despite the pair having a rivalry over a spot in the England team, it seems as if they have a close relationship as Hart was one of the first people to show support for the 31-year-old after his return to Celtic was confirmed.
Both Forster and Hart have had a tough few years in the Premier League as they have fallen out of favour at their respective clubs. Alex McCarthy and Angus Gunn had moved above Forster in the pecking order at Southampton, while Joe Hart remains behind Nick Pope in the Burnley squad.
Forster has now moved back to Celtic, and Hart is happy for his former England teammate as he now has the opportunity to get his career back on track.
