Steven Gerrard’s cousin Bobby Duncan has been a big part of Liverpool’s pre-season preparations for the new season, but it now appears like Jurgen Klopp’s efforts have been all for nothing.
After being at the club for just over one season, and having stated the move to Merseyside would “fulfil his dreams“, he has decided to jump ship after earlier in the week, his agent took to social media and tweeted about the displeasure of the treatment of his client and said that “he will never go back to Liverpool again”.
However, newspaper reports have revealed that his agent Saif Rubie, who made the original statement online on behalf of Duncan, was not involved in the move to La Viola, and has deactivated his Twitter account.
Bobby Duncan set to join Fiorentina after Italians returned with permanent offer of 2m euros. Liverpool will also receive 20pc of any future sell-on

Liverpool however, have agreed a 20% sell on clause with Fiorentina in the event that the Italian-based outfit decide to part ways with Duncan in the future.
But the news has not gone down well with some Reds’ followers, with one fan saying that he doesn’t like the way the situation has panned out, but also feels that it will all come out in the future.
Another fan replied saying that Duncan has ruined his one and only chance with the team, and that no-one is entitled to just stroll into Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
Here is a few of the best reactions from Twitter:
Don’t like the way this all looks. His agent kicks off and the club give the player his wish to leave.
I’m sure there’s more to it but on the face of it, it doesn’t look great

Wish him the best. Change your agent ASAP, @bobbyduncan999!

Personally I hope he fails…. Not because he pulled stunts to leave (that happens, see Coutinho) but because he involved mental health and used it as a bargaining chip.

Shame. For him, not us.

Ruined his one chance with us. No ones entitled to walk into the first team.
