As far as football journalists go there aren’t many who are more respected than Henry Winter.
Indeed, the Times’ chief football writer has 1.3 million followers on Twitter, and recently he broadcast his views on Arsenal director Josh Kroenke after an interview was published on the club’s official website.
Encouraging that Josh Kroenke communicating with #afc fans more. Their frustration with owners understandable, leading to #WeCareDoYou. Not sure Baku was needed to highlight defensive deficiencies but Club certainly acted in the window. Emery, a good coach, deserves backing.???????? https://t.co/1gFMLpWWPC

Winter was clearly very impressed with how the chairman’s son has conducted himself over the summer.
Arsenal fans weren’t let down by their transfer activity. The club spent over £100m and signed the likes of Nicolas Pepe, Kieren Tierney and David Luiz.
Winter did take issue with one thing Kroenke said though. The American stated that the Europa League final showed that the Gunners needed defensive reinforcements, but the journalist believes these issues should have been highlighted a long time ago.
Winter signed off his tweet by praising Unai Emery. He stated that the Spaniard is a good coach and that he deserved to be backed in the transfer market by the club’s owners.
The former PSG boss has proven himself to be a top manager over the past few years. He’s achieved great success with Sevilla – winning three Europa Leagues, as well as winning the double with PSG in the 2017/18 season.
