Despite leading his boyhood club to the promised land of the Premier League, Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is still waiting on a call-up to the England seniors and the decision to not call the 23-year-old up is dividing the opinions of some fans.

Grealish, 23, was in impressive form for Dean Smith’s side in the Championship last season, returning from injury to captain Villa for a club-record winning streak that saw them reach the play-off final and return fo the English top-flight after a three-year absence.

After declaring for England in 2015 and having risen through the international ranks with Ireland, Grealish is still yet to win a senior cap for Gareth Southgate’s side despite the likes of Mason Mount, with a similar complexion of professional experience, earning a spot in the senior squad.
