“Enjoyed watching them” – A lot of Gers fans are buzzing that their youth team beat Stranraer 2-0.
After beating Berwick Rangers in the last round of the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Cup – the Rangers Colts travelled to Scottish League One side Stranraer for a much sterner test.
Graeme Murty’s side though prevailed thanks to goals from Josh McPake and Jamie Borjonas.
After an even first half, the Colts opened the scoring when McPake picked up on a loose ball and drove a strike past Dale Burgess.
Murty’s side had to withstand some heavy pressure – but ten minutes from full time they doubled their lead, as captain Borjonas blasted a rebound into the net.
The Rangers Colts are progressing well in the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Cup – and a lot of Gers fans are thrilled for the young lads.
They will now play Ballymena United in the third round.
