Granit Xhaka’s return to first-team action may not be too far away after he posted a picture on Instagram showing that he is back in training.

The Swiss midfielder missed Arsenal’s game against Burnley after he picked up a back injury against Newcastle on the opening day of the season.

His snaps on Instagram show him working with a ball and engaging in a stretching routine alongside his other teammates.

This will be a welcome return for a number of fans as the Gunners are yet to fully figure out how they want their midfield to look this term.

Dani Ceballos looked incredible in his debut as he created both of the London club’s goals, but there are still question marks over Matteo Guendouzi due to his lack of experience, while Lucas Torreira has been relegated to the bench for the London club’s first two fixtures.

The Switzerland international captained the Gunners on the opening day of the season at St James’ Park, so one would think he would get back into the starting XI as soon as he’s fit enough.
