“You think they will part with £36m on a single-player” – A lot of Newcastle fans do not believe that their club will break their transfer record to sign Joelinton from Hoffenheim.
With Steve Bruce set to be confirmed as the next Newcastle United manager it seems, finally, the Magpies may make some signings, and the latest rumour is that they have a deal in place to sign Joelinton in a £36m deal.
If the Toon were to make this signing, he would be their record signing by a considerable margin, and at 22 he could have the potential to develop into an exciting player for the Newcastle.
A lot of Newcastle fans though are very sceptical that the club would spend that amount of money on one player – remember they only broke their transfer record in January for Miguel Almiron – before that the record had not been broken since 2005 when the Magpies signed Michael Owen.
It remains to be seen what happens, but for now, these Newcastle fans don’t believe the rumours.
